If you did a Google search on the best hospitals for cancer treatment here is the answer you would get: ((The best cancer hospitals in the United States include The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, and the Mayo Clinic.))
No doubt these are good hospitals but here’s a vital fact you won’t find doing a Google search for cancer treatment.
Many cancer patients are turned away daily from some of the top medical and cancer centers and told there is nothing they can do for them.
They are told, “Go home and get your affairs in order.” And told they have only weeks or months to live.
We hear these stories all the time from patients who have been to those centers and fortunately found their way to the CyberKnife Center of Miami, where we have given many of them additional months and even years to live.
The top cancer doctors at CyberKnife Miami are the most experienced with CyberKnife technology. It’s state-of-the-art radiation therapy, that kills tumors with pinpoint accuracy. It can be used to treat and re-treat, even if you are told it can’t be done by other cancer experts who have no experience with it, we assure you, it often can be done with good success rates.
Due to their experience, the team at CyberKnife Miami is not afraid to take on even the toughest cases. Cases many other cancer centers don’t want to treat because, should the patient not survive it would ruin their survival rate statistics, and therefore why bother?
To us, patients are not statistics. They are people who deserve to be given the best chance at life possible, with the best treatments available for their particular needs.
They must also be treated with the greatest compassion, care and respect.
If we can not save a life due to the disease or because it has spread too far, often we can at least prolong their life, even by years.
We often can give patients hope where there is none.
One such patient is Danny, suffering from a Pancoast Tumor.
When Danny was first diagnosed with a Pancoast Lung Tumor, he was told by his doctors in Texas that there wasn’t much they could do for him and even with cancer treatment he wouldn’t live more than a year.
That was nearly 4 years ago and Danny is still alive after being treated at the CyberKnife Center of Miami. We continue to treat him as needed, when tumors appear.
Unlike other cancer centers, our top cancer doctors and team believe, it’s always worth a try and most often we can help patients, at the very least be more comfortable, get pain relief and buy them the precious gift of time.
We give patients not just hope but life for as long as possible.
Here’s Danny’s story: “Hearing you have cancer is devastating, especially cancer that cannot be cured.”
Let’s face it, getting a cancer diagnosis is very scary. More than any thing you want to get it treated as fast as you can and get it over with.
But many patients discover trying to get treated can be scarier than the diagnosis, and a painfully slow process. Getting everything set up to start treatment is often a nightmare, including getting the necessary scans for proper diagnosis, getting an appointment to see the right cancer specialists and scheduling treatment appointments.
It can be extremely frustrating since every cancer patient knows time is of the essence. The sooner you get treated the better chance of beating cancer. Delays are mentally traumatic, adding unnecessary stress.
That’s where the CyberKnife Center of Miami is in a league of its own. We help you with all of that. We make the whole process as quick and easy as possible.
We hold your hand every step of the way. We put patients first. You have our utmost commitment and compassion.
